ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Writeup

“We the People is one of our most talented colts. He can be a little “hot” at times and required a bit more time than the others but watching him breeze at WinStar gave us a very good impression of his talent level. He is a big scopey, two-turn type horse that we’re very excited about.” – Elliot Walden, CEO of WinStar Farm

An exciting individual with a pedigree that has already proven successful on the biggest stages in racing; We the People comes from the same cross as the 2020 Triple Crown standout Tiz the Law.

His sire (dad), Constitution earned $1.03M in just 8 starts, winning the G1 Florida Derby and G1 Donn Handicap. To this day he is the fastest son or daughter of Tapit to go two turns. In his first crop, he sired a classic winner in G1-winning Tiz the Law, placing him in the elite ranks of only 10 other stallions who, since 1995, have sired a classic winner in their first crop. In 2020 he was ranked #1 Second-Crop Sire and in 2021, he rose to the top again as the #1 Third-Crop Sire.

His dam (mom) is by the great stallion Tiznow, the only horse in history to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic twice. On the track, Tiznow was known for his immense size (standing 16.3 hands) and his indomitable, game spirit. Tiznow is now a rapidly emerging broodmare sire. To date, his daughters have produced 39 stakes winners including Tiz the Law (LTE: $2.75M), Come Dancing (LTE: $1.2M), and Mr. Money (LTE: $1.36M). Letchworth not only comes from a great stallion, but she also comes from a serious female family, beginning with her dam Harmony Lodge. A 5-time graded stakes winner with earnings over $851k, Harmony Lodge produced two graded stakes winners, breeding stallion Stratford Hill (LTE: $160,400) and Armistice Day (LTE: $225k). She is also a half-sister to Graeme Hall (LTE: $1.14M), Win McCool (LTE: $218k), and Win’s Fair Lady (LTE: $150k)

We the People possesses the rare combination of incredible speed and size, with an immense ground covering stride that allows him to move across the track and cover ground effortlessly.
